Hi,
I'm just testing the water really.
I have for sale my standard 1999 fiat punto GT, ok not exactly retro.
As much as it pains me i need the money more than the car
But standard ones are hard to find, the only mod ive done is fit pressed plates & clear side repeaters!!
I'll be keeping the side repeaters for my basic punto, so the side ones will go back to there original amber ones!!
I've recently fitted a new genuine fiat power steering pump, a new exhaust flexi section & four refurbished alloys with new abarth centre caps.
The car has done about 108,000 miles, although i use the car daily so that will increase!!
The car is mot'd until september 2012, & taxed until july 2012!!
and has had 5 previous keepers.
Being a 1.4 engine, means you get the lower road tax
However please check the insurance to make sure you can get cover!! as the insurance group is about 14 last time i checked!!
I also replaced the rear bumper with a second hand one in the correct colour as mine was damaged when i bought the car nearly two years ago.
I also had all the belts, timing belt & tensioner, water pump etc.. done at fiat last year. So it wont need doing again for a good while, i also changed the thermostat & temp switch using genuine fiat parts to keep everything tip top!!
I service the car regularly, using fiat filters & Mobil 1 super s oil.
The car is garaged, and always allowed to warm up properly, an to idle before switching off the engine after long Journeys.
The bonnet & roof could do with painting, as there's some stone chip damage.
Overall the car is in pretty good condition, and although there are some paint chips etc..
There's not any large dents or rust patches, and I'm sure the new owner could get the paintwork up to A1 in no time.
The car could do with rust proofing underneath, as i had the floor repaired last year.
And although the areas done have been treated, it wouldn't do any harm to re do the rest especially with the winter weather we'll get!
The car runs and drives great, all the electrics work too ;D
Please no test pilots or time wasters, I'm looking for serious buyers.
You must have insurance for your own car, fully comp. Thats to cover yourself legally & for my peace of mind if you want to have a drive in it. Otherwise no test drive, sorry to be mean but it's better safe than sorry!!
I'm looking for £1950 for the car, and thats including the Tax too!
So if you going to turn up and offer less than what I'm asking, no offence but don't bother id rather keep it!!
So all it needs is you to buy it, ask any questions you like and ill answer them as best i can.
I really want the car to go to good home, as one day I'm sure an original one will be highly prized!!
Thanks for looking
