As some here may know I have replaced the Strombergs on the Stag with a Holley 390. Whilst after bolting it on it seems to run well enough (an improvement from before) I have been told by the supplier that I should adjust the idle mixture using a vacuum gauge as per the Holley instructions despite the carb being jetted in the right ballpark.
The question is which vacuum gauge should I go for? Will a cheapo item from EBay or Halfords do the trick or is it best for me to get something like a Smiths item etc.?
