Today, the weather stayed dry for a whole afternoon. So obv. me & the man Russell decided to get jiggy with some of Halfrauds 'finest' Satin Black. Here's the outcome: Quite pleasing, all told. Gutted we couldn't put the wheels on (they need tapered bolts & the standard rims have 'flat' nuts). And couldn't get it as 'trimmed' as we'd have liked, owing to most of the trim having the clips missing.... But we are getting there. The car will be making it's show debut tomorrow @ Knebworth. Should have some beardies choking on theire real ale ;D ;D ;D

Key'd up masked & primer'd as necessary. Two coats, plus a few touch-ups. All the interior is now put together as it should be too Here's a reminder of how SHAT it looked before:

Looking very cool , for some reason I am really digging the silver on black plates, they look even better with the new colour scheme, (can matt black be called a colour scheme? ;D) going to have to buy a car soon that is old enough to wear them! As for the weardie beardies, just tell them it's an ultra rare factory one off

Very cool. The capri is heading in the same direction some time this week. Perhaps even tomorrow.

p.s. how long do you reckon the hammerite satin needs to be 'wet-resistant'?
