Alright y'all.... So, who else on the board is into old ex army vehicles? Any other owners on here? I've got a 1953 Austin K9 radio truck, its powered by a 6 cylinder pushrod petrol engine and has 2 and 4 wheel drive. This picture was taken a few years back at Leyland commercial vehicle rally, the truck is now painted in deep bronze green.

That looks lovely!! Although I don't own any myself, I'm a fan of ex military vehicles and seeing them being used. There are a few locally to me, a couple of ex MOD Landies and a Humber Pig that looks soooooo menacing

Thanks.... Best bit is free tax, cheap insurance and MOT exemption due to its age! Everybody should have one!

YES!! I love it..... If I was in a better financial position, I would be buying one of the many 'snatch' Land Rovers that have recently been released from the MOD.... ;D

Nice K9!
I currently have desert sand fingers, having helped hoik a fuel tank into place on a friend's Diamond T. Paint was still wet, it would appear!
Would love an AEC Matador, one of my all time favourite vehicles.

I own a vw trekker if that counts haha. recently dropped on a military show at Cleethorpes, the boys had a great time, holding bazookas and MG42 machine guns and being able to sit in and look at old ambulance type landys, was a great day

My first ever rally at the age of 3months old was in a Matador, a desert one too! And that was one on my Uncle's Diamond T's in the background....
