As title - jacking up the rear of the capri today, when the inevitable happens - bloody jack slips - luckily for the car, the road and my limbs the axle fell on the body of the jack - which is where it is resting now. Any advice guys (n gals?)? I have an engine crane - not sure how I could use that, also have a plentiful supply of bits of wood outside - that's surely not gonna do it?
Advice please.

Sorry that this is not much help.....Have you not got the jack in the boot of the Capri, or any other of your cars? Or pick up another jack from Halfords, always useful to have two and probably only 15 quid for a two-tonner!

:)2nd jack is a great idea....but perhaps more important is a set of axle stands for when you've got it raised again!

Yeah dave - that advice is priceless. In the end it was 3*4 to the rescue! Lifted it up no probs. Which was surprising.
