As per title my 2.8 Capri is not starting totally stumped Check all the obvious things, fuel, battery, sparks etc Changed to new; fuel pump, filter, relay, coil, plugs, battery, metering head with another one. I'm getting fuel out of 7th injector nice clean non drip spray Wondered if anyone in the local area could have a look for me ideally someone with some kind of knowledge of Cologne engines/Capris I can pay or payment with a crate of beer etc.  Thanks guys! |

have you checked the following (apologies if it all seems like sucking eggs).......
nice bright spark at the plugs?
to check remove a HT lead off one of the plugs and stick a spare plug in the end/or remove the plug from the head, touch the block with the spark plug end (or manifold) get an assistant to crank the engine and then check for spark
fuel at the injectors?
not sure how easy it is to pull an injector out or undo the pipe to them on cologne
engine turning over fast enough?
sometimes lazy starters or small batteries stop it from cranking at a fast enough speed
have you moved the dizzy to alter the timing or fitted a new dizzy cap and put the HT leads on in the wrong order, incorrect rotor arm?
if you check the above and get no joy put a help topic up iin the general section as more people will see it there.

No not yet, I'm working on it at the weekend going to do a bit of a cleanup and adjustments with a fully fresh battery and another attempt if still no luck would you be willing to have a look for me? |
