I arrived late and made the mistake of taking the spare parking spot beside the BBQ at a recent club getogether.
It was only afterwards, on the way home when I had to use the wipers I discovered my car was covered in a thin film of grease from the steam/smoke off the BBQ landing and condensing on my lovely paintwork.
Obviously I want rid of it but I don't want to damage the paint scrubbing it. Is a hot wash the only answer?

Hot steam wash with a snow lance would prob be your best bet.
Most haulage firms have em, just take a box of sweets or chocs in and ask the office staff.
Or hose pipe on the hot tap.

Any good shampoo mixed stringly enough should be okay - something like Duragloss 901. Alternatively, snow foam, or a weak mixture of a degreaser like Bilt Hambers Surfex HD should shift it. Try and get as much off via solution, rather than friction, i.e rubbing hard with a sponge, to protect the paint!

If it's grease from a BBQ then it's mostly fat, so try washing it with biological washing powder. Really good for degreasing but very gentle. And also well cheap.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
