I want to get my car protected for the winter so got myself a couple of spray cans of clear Waxoyl. First time I've tried it but think I did it right: Cleaned up the arches, then dried them off and set about spraying it on.
Now from memory the back of the can says 'a thin sealing layer' or something like that, but for me it came out unexpectedly thick and sort of foamy. It almost looked like silly string at times. Didn't seem to flow well at all, with a stream sort of drooping off and covering the top/side of the can. So instead of a nice clear layer on the arches I have a sort of gunk coating them.
Have I done something wrong or is this just how it works? I gave the cans a good shake before using them, and it wasn't that cold out (about 10C at a guess).
Any tips? Am I just being paranoid about my car disintegrating over winter?!
