Allo. Cool site by the way. So what do you drive? I'm guessing a Beetle, Splittie, or a bay window is your daily driver (or a modern car, but that aint cool, man! ) Either way it's tidier than this piece of curse word!

Morning. Sweet site you've got yourself there. For a moment I thought that was my Ghia on there! Obviously too many white ghias on BRMs about! Not that that's a bad thing. Got to admit, looking at the prices, a narrowed beam has become a lot more tempting

Hello Tidders - I believe we've met? I take it you're the 'Rusty Dubber' who was trying to sell the idea of one of your 'super low' front beam conversions for my friend's 65' bug, at a club night a few weeks ago?

Afternoon Tidders, love the Veedubs on your site especialy the fastback, now you've got me wanting to keep my squareback that's being picked up this afternoon, still it's going to a good home and should be back on the road soon, I hope! p.s glad you like the site, we all seem to like most old stuff here but don't be suprised if you start dreaming about volvos! and obscure J tin after a few weeks! ;D

You forgot about the Trabbies, Skodas and other eastern block delights that have a following here ;D and Minis, Fords, Opels, MGs, Lancias, Fiats, holdens, etc etc etc, in fact as long as it's more than a few years old someone on here will like it/own one!

As it says in the FAQ : "The cars tend to be modified either aesthetically, mechanically or both. They tend to be over 20 years old. More often than not they would be what most people consider budget classics. However, they may not conform to any of these things, this is what makes what we do so interesting. So if you've got a 1973 Vauxhall Viva dropped over BBS alloys, or a 1906 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, we'll be as interested to hear about your experiences and what its like to own your car, because above everything else Retro Rides is about a love of cars."

You forgot about the Trabbies, Skodas and other eastern block delights that have a following here ;D He's right, althouh in the case of Trabbies, Moskvithches Ladas and such, I am the entire following! ;D ;D I'm also most of the Volvo fan base around here, although it's catching on! And the only Hillman Imp owner!

And the only Hillman Imp owner! your'e not quite on your own I really like eastern euopean stuff, volvos and Imps as well, some of the cars I've always wanted include a Skoda S110R coupe, Zil 114 limo, and I would really like a V8 GAZ Chaika mostly because with the russian alphabet Chaika almost reads curse word! which would be cool across the leading edge of the bonnet! also I very nearly bought a Sunbeam stilleto a few years ago but it was a bit to far gone for me at the time, the climax engine was a peach though. and I came very close to buying an amazon wagon when I first bought my VW squareback but the squareback was already lowered so that kind of swung the deal.

curse word across the bonnet, cool! Not as funny as this though... Did you know that Hyundai had to rename the Accent in Russia shortly after starting to sell them, because Accent is very very similar to the slang for ars*hole in Russian? ;D ;D ;D Imagine going into a garage in Moscow and asking a mechanic to give your accent a good service! ;D ;D "Ok, bend over comrade!"
