I realise this is not quite a car, well not a whole one, but i just had to post it ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Popped down to the ACE today while picking up a Puch Maxi moped for a friend, i hoped to see some of the ratrod meet but sadly they had all vanished ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) the only thing left was this... ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/SG107295.jpg) yes a VAG engined bike ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I don't know which engine but it had 1.9TD cast on the side of the block, the owner hadn't used the turbo though if that is what the TD stood for. ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/SG107297.jpg) check out the filter on number 1 ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/SG107294.jpg) the fire extinguisher is the diesel tank ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) No gears, let the clutch out and go, shaft drive straight from the center of the clutch. To add some car content... My wee orange beasties first ACE visit ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/SG107310.jpg) ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/SG107316.jpg)

thats an interesting motor.
the only time ive seen a bike with a car engine wasnt a bike, it was a trike with a huge aluminium cage at the back housing a 1.9td peugeot lump, was surprisingly quick actually.

its probably a 1y engine code, as some of them had 1.9d/td stamped on the block. we has a local bike club come intowork, with their shiny harleys etc, and i think it was called "the boss" a 5.7 litre v8 engined bike, but my favourite was the trike with the pug 306 1.9 na diesel in it, it was registered as an austin 1100 conversion, for tax exemption reasons, ran the 1100 subframe to which the 1.9 was mated, proper rat rod.

I never saw it running so glad you posted the vid ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Good to read the build thread, surprised at the lack of power he expected? Final ratio in the final drive I guess?

Lol. That is brilliant!
Was drawing up plans for a diesel bike ages ago with the use of a generator engine, but never got any further.

I'm all for defending our rights to have a choice of what we ride or drive, but seriously, i think he really was taking the curse word a bit with that Vtwin bike.
But did I actually hear the coppers suggest the dog should be wearing a helmet and goggles ?? pmsl

wonder what he'd do if the engine started running away.... ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Get off... Let the clutch out to get a safe distance from it... And the bike makes its way off down the road without ya... Basically you'd have to keep hold of it while it detonates.. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
