Can anyone help me out and p-shop the new wheels on to the Herald. I'm not sure they'll look right in silver and so was wondering about painting the centres black (or dark grey) or perhaps the whole wheel white? Anyone any thoughts?

Loving those rims Seth. I reckon they'll look the bomb as they are, the silver will give it a contemporary look. ;D

Those rims almost look kind of factory on a Herald! I think it maybe because they are so similar to TR6 rims. What size are they Seth? If they are 14's you might be able to get some deep dish rim embelishers of a yank motor. The stock steels for my Javelin have some.

Thanks for the comments guys. And fantstic efforts with the photos too ;D Sparko, I was thinking the whole centre black like Odin did but that's another option to consider so thanks! Odin, my black grey thinking was inspired by this Magnette on TR6 rims... and I think it looks really hard. Standard herald wheels were white from the factory hence my thinking in that direction for a factory-but-not look. Also quite historic-motorsporty too. Hmmm. Much to be considered. Maybe I should do a poll on the basis I could ignore the result if I chose to! Thanks again chaps! ;D

Probably used for Caterham testing/development in the past

Do you want me to darken the grey on those so you can get a better idea, Seth?

Since you asked nice, like: Should have done 'em that dark to begin with really.....very nice. A fiver tin of satin black Hammerite should do the set.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
