Let's talk potential. Here are two cars for your consideration, both greatly unloved, both brown and both, in my opinion, overlooked. First we have a Mitsubishi Scorpion 2.6. Well know on here of Silver Sapporo fame, this lovely motor turned my head with a handwritten sign reading "$800 ono. Runs good". (Sorry for the dodgy pic - it's up the road from my house and I didn't want to become known as "that stalker guy". Next we have a 1980 Mazda Luce. This is a genuine Luce, meaning this is a 929 that came with a 13b rotary originally. The dude selling this car is having trouble basically giving it away for $1000. So, what do you all see? Other brown cars with potential or photochop these loverly motors. ;D (all prices are Oz Dollars)

I can see the Luce sitting on it's bumpstops, a violently brapping NA 13B under the bonnet...... all on standard rims, complete with the brown on brown vinyl roof/pain combo.

Cool cars..deffo loads of potential there. Does the Luce not have it's rotary engine anymore? A pic of my "turd" Estelle!! According to Skoda it's Pennine Grey but on the log[ahem ] book it says brown!

That Luce is freakin awesome! Can you pop it in a container and send it to me? I wonder how much that would cost.

Why do I have no pics of my 'turdmobile' poo-brown Toyotat Carina from a few years back.
That had potential fo sho.
SSR rims & AE86 engine would have been 'the win'. But no-one had invented 'retro-rides' back then. So I sold it for export. What a waqner.

That Luce is the business, I'd go for that anyday. Like Snoozin said, slammed and brapping madly. It really is sublime...

That Mitsi Scorpion looks really *really* cool - I haven't ever seen one before... did we get them in the UK? Love those alloys too. I reckon I'd get them bead-blasted, polished and paint black inside the spokes then hack a few coils off. Alternatively I think it'd be a perfect base for a Bosozouku-style chariot.
But that 929 / Luce... perfection in brown. If it was mine I'd keep the bodywork exactly like that, mis-matched panels and all. Slam it to the floor and do some fettling on the engine - a straight-thru exhaust and some tuning bits (if they're available). Awesome!
...and how cheap are they?! Dammit I wanna move to Australia

Hmmm, let me think...... Did I mention it's for sale?! That Sapporo-type thing is great. The 2.6 is still a 4-pot isn't it, presumably easy to upgrade to a Starion turbo unit? Luce also good, but would be better if stack-light front end.

Shame it's a series 2 or I'd be asking you to ship me all the panels in a crate for my new one, wings and doors will retro fit though . If anyone knows of any Sapporo/ Scorpian/ Challenger2 body panel supplies either new or used I'd really appreciate it

The Mitsubishi Debonair I had used that 2.6 four pot. In that it was labelled an "Astron 80". It actually used to haul that old Debonair along with ease and it was a fairly heavy motor so I suspect they are pretty torquey.

She's an American market 910 Bluebird with a long nose and an L24 jammed in there... Woah! That has all the toys, like the cool speech synthesiser thing. Mine is povo spec in comparison.
