I'd keep it personally - it looks really mint! That engine problem could be used as an excuse to put a G60 or Audi 5-pot in there! ;D

alexi sayle, thats the guy.
I have been tempted in the past to RWD it with a blown pinto, would be great, buy its too good to really mess with. It may well get an engine swap but nothing major. It would stay auto (probably) but maybe get a 1.8 carb mk2 engine, just caus its easy and cheap.

20v Turbo is a fun obvious swap... Of course RWD conversion and Nissan SR20DET engine would blow some heads

RWDing it is ok so long as its done properly, oads of fiestas I have seen done, specially now escorts are out of reach. All depends what the car means to you. I really like this shape, and this one looks neat, but with the cash i'd (personally) go with a RWD car instead.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Sell it to me for little money Nah seriously keep it - you'll regret it if you do decide to sell. You can pic up a decent VW lump for little money these days...so bin the engine and auto box - you could always do a Tdi conversion for something different.
