Lovely car, I've got a real soft spot for the Clubman estates. I'm really liking the colour of yours. As for the K-series subframe, any more info about it? Is it a kit you've bought and welded in? If you have any info and possibly the costs, I'm all ears Many thanks. (I've got an 'interesting' Mini based car that I want to fit a K-series in so any info would be gratefully received) Looking forward to seeing this progress. Bookmarked ;D

Frame was just made out of seamless hydraulic tubing as its what i do for a living. You can make them out of box section as most do. There is a complete frame avalible of the shelf though aswell from allspeed engineering.

Yep, liking that. I'd love another Mini especially with a K fitted. After having a Metro GTa, I reckon it'd be a perfect match! I take it it uses the gearbox as well?

Cheers for the positive comments. Hopeing to keep it looking scuffy for now for the "No show all go"look. Using the mgzr gearbox for now then going to get some suitible gear ratios once its on the road, will also be able to fit the lsd from the tomcat which is a bonus. The reason behind the conversion was cheap power, priced up a good power Aseries and it was a fortune so opted for the cheap Kseries with the bonus of the 5speed box.

Here's my subby for the 4age (Not a good choice of engine BTW) x2 on what mini special is it? And have a cool donor car pic: I know, a black Mk1 is sacrilege to scrap - it wasn't mine.
