The old type, ofcourse. I've got some cool ideas, but for all my trying, I can't find any info' on them. I know they're 2.0 petrol, but what power do they have, scope for tuning? Also, what kind of suspension setup do they have, how easy to slam it to the ground? And... finally, hubs, I think they're 6stud?, if so a hub swap would be in order for some cool rimmage, what would fit, if anything? Quite the random thread.

Good choice of truck they are indeed 6 stud, with a pcd of 6x139.7mm, which is the same as most if not all 6 stud 4x4's etc, so plenty of cool wheel options.. a hub swap might be quite a chore... performance wise they aren't overly slow as stock, but if you could change the diff to a lower ratio one it'd make them better to drive as being a pickup they're fairly closely geared.. still good for 110 ish top end though... slamming is easy, torsion bar front suspension, so loosen the bolt and lower to your desired height, then tighten the bolt back up. Rear is leaf springs, so you can either go with a load of lowering blocks under the axle, or remove some leaves and leave it with 2 remaining, this lowers it down a fair bit and gives a better ride, but if you still want to carry stuff in it then keep a few extra leaves and go with more blocks. Here's my old one: Mike

6 stud IIRC. double wishbone front suspension, leaf sprung live rear. rotary transplant would rock, along with nastruck styling. inspiration apparently this is rotary powered with nos not quite sure on years, but its a start, and they're all cool except for the purple wheels edit; v8mike to the rescue, excuse my dodgy info

Wow, nice moon discs there V8 Mike. Great looking truck all round too, and how easy to lower? I never knew... Hmmm.
I actually quite liked Nigel Grimshaws speaker tube window effort. I gather it never quite worked properly though.

Heh, sweet.
Thanks for the info and inspiration.
My plans include using alot of Nato green paint, a healthy dose of the lowering stick and wide, low offset wheels, something like Konig Rewinds, but if they don't come in the correct pcd, they're out of the equasion, wide & low offset 4x4 wheels of some kind will have to do.
As for carrying things, I'll only be chucking my Bmx/Mtb in the back. I can't see myself chucking owt heavy/er in, so the better drive would be the prefered option.
Thanks, Ry.
