You can basically, specify wheel size, final gear ratio and diff ration to understand what engine speed you will be doing at different speeds.
Very useful if you are playing around with any of these 3 variables.
Very handy to me as I currently have a combination that gives me a theoretical top speed of 186mph - no wonder it feels sluggish low down!
