Either way this is my new weekend purchase , so what do you guys think? It;s a south african import, imported in 96 i think. Only two oners fron new = just 67.000km on the clock thats km not miles, with service proof. It also has the original sales receipt and owners/service book. This is super clean and the seats look like they've never been used.Just needs a wash and hoover. Absolutely minimal surface rust, you could eat of off engine bay but Duurr forgot to take photos of that! So what do you think hot or not? ANyone want to photo shop it? The service books i96.photobucket.com/albums/l173/Magnumpwi/93dbd278.jpg[/IMG]

Not just HOT but HAWT!!!I don't think i have evAr seen one like that. Lovely 'turdmobile' interior. What gives it motive force, and what are the 'go faster' options??? Some choice rimz & 'JDM' accessorising will see that 'properly retro'd'

I have some fender mirrors spare like the ones on that red Carina (although not sprayed silver) above that you'd be most welcome to have if you'd like to pay postage over to UK.
That's a start.

Anyone want to photo shop it? It would be rude not to, since I've got Pshop fired up anyway. I think it looks a bit like a Saab at the front too.

How fruggin' cool is that!?! What are the plans for this beast? Slammed over wide 14in J-rims with stretched rubber and plenty of negative camber dialled in would get you a passport to retro Valhalla I reckon.
Hotness.

That is a top find!
It's left me with a few questions: Is it a four or six cylinder (as in R or M engine)? Is that the same steering wheel as a Supra? How can a grille of a Toyota look just like a Saab? Has Stuyizz sold his Rewinds yet? ;D

That is a top find! It's left me with a few questions: Is it a four or six cylinder (as in R or M engine)? I was wondering the same. 4M or something would be great, open the pipe up and let the six cylinderness scream from within.

Well done! Glad you did get it, as I’ve committed myself to buying a newer (though still obscure) Camry estate and I would have been gutted if you’d have given me the details saying it was still available. So clean too.
We did get the estate here for a year or two, which I haven’t seen an example of for about 10 years now, must try and scan something in from a brochure – your’s looks slightly higher spec. I bet there’s all sorts of subtle differences as SA-made cars have to use quite high local content, I certainly found this with the ex-SA Skyline I had. As Ratdat discovered with his Sunny pickup, sometimes it’s not quite as well put together as the Japanese stuff.

Cheers guys ,i thought there may be a few "thats a pig" comments but In regards to some of the questions i've put some of the spec pages up , although they aren't best quality! The model code states it's a RX 60RG XWMDSN GL Station Wagon Engine is 4cyl 21R 5-speed MANUAL Not really sure what to do with it as the guy i got it off is taking my e28 BMW P/X. SO i'll probly run it for a bit then maybe sell it on, although looking at the photo shops on rims i could be tempted to keep it. Call me a pussy or what ever but it has no power steering and as its a big car it's well heavy( and would lowering and putting on some rims make it worse).Could p/s be fitted?enough room! IN the mean time i need to sort the brakes, work but spongy, need bleeding. It also has the smallest of small stutter when you pull away, which only minor annoys me. I've checked plugs, and points(suspect it's points)and air filter which seems brand new. Don't know if the steering wheel is same as a celica. Will put pics of super clean engine bay up tommorow. Hope you can see the tech spec Cheers 4 the response
