STILL 1.4 LOG BOOK SO UP TO NEWE OWNER TO CHANGE
Its a perfect daily motor, whilst having serious clout to give you a thrill when you feel necessary
Full subframe/hubs/brakes and running gear taken from the VR6. 2.8litre OBD2 engine has 93,000 miles, having recently had the head gasket replaced, along with a new thermostat housing which are a common leaking point on these engines. The engine runs absolutely perfectly, and was rolling roaded in its previous bodyshell at 200bhp. It warms up steadily and never goes a peep over 90 degrees The car is an absolute pleasure to drive which a below-average mileage VR6 should be, and having already had the post 100k VR6 niggles already addressed only backs this up.
It has a full de-cat 2.5" exhaust system and 6 branch manifold. The induction kit which I got with the engine has been replaced with a standard airbox for better fuel economy, however the induction kit will also be supplied with the car for those wishing to swap back to hear the VR induction roar in all its glory The front engine mount has been replaced with a Vibra-Technics one worth £140. Also fitted is the VR6 rear beam for its wider track, disc brakes, ARB etc. The car also has new front to back solid brakes lines fitted so thats one less thing to worry about!
Has Jamex 40mm lowered shocks and springs on the front and Spax adjustable shocks with matching springs on the rear. It handles great, mk3s reputation for not handling does not apply here!
Has had the tired grey interior replaced with a full black cloth interior from a VR6, carpet, seats and doorcards. Now, it's a lovely place to be
Body work wise, the shell is in very good condition. The only rust on the whole car is at the bottom of the front passenger door as can be seen in one of the photos. Sills, floor, chassis rails etc are all fine. The rest of the panels have minor scuffs and scrapes, but overall the car looks quite tidy. The front fog light blanks are also missing. The nearside wing mirror has been blanked off, however a perfect condition mirror will be supplied with the car for those wishing to refit it.
A set of Halfords finest wheeltrims set off the amazing 15" Mk4 Golf steel wheels. Front wheels have 195/50 Avon tyres with approximately 4mm of tread left, and the rear wheels both have 195/50 tyres of differing makes, one with around 5mm of tread and the other 3mm.
