Was thinking this morning about all the concept cars that you used to see gracing the pages of the like of Auto Express, CAR e.t.c And what was the one that really made me sit up and notice... The Ghia Focus Concept Car, it's got Escort Cosworth Running gear and is a road going concept car. A couple of facts that I am not too clear on though. Steven Speilberg bought the only Ghia Focus and I think that he paid something like $18 million. The car was a one off.

That does sound decent, this caught my eye yesterday: the coupe one looks like a ford probe, a scooby SVX, and a knightrider 4000 if you squint. Love the 4 door though.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I like the Opel slalom as well - if only because it shows how lazy car manufacturers are ;D Opel "Ve do not like it - it looks too much like a Vectra in drag" Ford "We'll take it" I bet Ford's water bill was huge after all the diluting they had to do ;D

With out a doubt this is the finest concept car ever built. In fact I'd go as far as saying it is the finest car ever built full stop. It may even be the finest ever to be built. Not just renderings :

A bit of an unknown gem...or so I thought. I love those rear lights! Mark Bailey did a similar job on his old mint/black bug.

dubbedup in da house: Favourite Concept Car ??...The one I have been closest to from Concept to readdy to roll out to customers is the W8 Vector and it's real close to my heart. Was even involved in shooting this picture.... The one I like the most is the VW W12 Nardo, don't ask me why, it just moves me..... DP says: There are 1000'a of cool Concepts out there, The Countach Concept is also a great looker....

Any of the 80's one do it for me. It's amazing though, I've got a couple of old concept car books and it's surprising how many have made it through to production. At the time were were like wooooooooooo look at thooooooooose but now they are mostly parked up outside looking rusty and dented One of my faves, there was a replica on here a week or so ago, Bertone Stratos:

Not a concept car in the normal terms, more a prototype race car.

The wheels on that thing look mental Eddie! All the panel work you've done on that pickup,.. you could have spent making the concept car

I remember when this: ...was released (my Dad works at Fords) it was completely unlike anything else at the time. With the benefit of hindsight I think it might have been preparing us for a future Ford release? ;D ;D ;D

Kinda what i like about my Mk1; modern and retro futuristic but totally 80's down to Earth Ford.
