Its not very often a product surpasses your expectations but Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner just did mine.
I have some leather seats from my '74 Daimler VDP which are in pretty good condition as the car was low milage and laid up in a basement since 1986 but I have had them out the car for a few years while the body repairs were being done and they have been stored in the rafters of my garage (barn) which is a bit leaky and, on occasion home to some birds.
passenger seat has been getting wet & dirty up in rafters for several years
I was a bit worried about the state the seats were in when I brought them down for a clean but this product brought them up a treat and was very easy to use.
The strange thing is I had much better results the second time I used it as I inadvertantly followed the instructions
The first seats I tackled were the drivers seat and upright part of the rear seat and I spent quite a bit of time scrubbing the solution into the seats with a brush to lift the ingrained dirt working on a small area at a time. The results were fine.
The second time I used it I covered a larger area with some of the stuff and was distracted and left the solution on for 5-10 minutes before scrubbing and was amazed to find the scrubbing was hardly necessary after that as the stuff seemed to clean the seats on its own and only needed a quick going-over then wiped off. It must be stronger than I imagined and could perhaps lift some from some seats but it worked great on mine.
passenger seat cleaned up great
rear view of same seat. this shot highlights fact that seat back/sides were not leather like the facings
rear seat cushion centre section cleaned with very little scrubbing
