Tried starting it and nothing happens glow plug light comes on, on 1st and second ignition which isnt right and then other times nothing happens atal and the battery light stays on when the keys are out. I have no idea whats wrong.
No click from the starter motor either
I check the glow plugs with ign on full and there's a 12.2 v reading, starter motor and alternator show this aswell....

try a jump lead from the neg on the battery to the block? lack of earths can make all sorts of wierd stuff happen, also i seem to remember the wiring colours on pugs are wierd? brown is live or sumink wierd that cought me out before  |

My money's on a missing earth strap, without it there's nowhere for the electricity to return to the battery. If there's 12v at the starter then the engine will turn over irrespective of other wiring (assuming the starter is ok of course).
