My spray gun (via compressor) isn't doing it's job anymore. Instead of creating a solid consistent stream of paint, it spits out in an on-off thing, with paint/air/paint/air, etc. This ruins anything, and I can't seem to remedy it at all. The gun isn't blocked (I disassemble and clean the whole thing out everytime I finish). The compressor is also doing it's job, I presume. There's a healthy and constant supply of air. I only fill the paint bowl thing (it's the 'underslung' suck type of gun) with about a 1/4 but the suction tube is always submerged. It's annoying as it's producing a really blobby finish in places (that needs to be rubbed down), and it's starting to hurt my bank balance - 2-pack ain't cheap! It's acceptable, but I'm at a stage/skill-level where I could just spray on and it's done. It's taking an extra day or so just to re-prep the surface.

Also, I'm thinning the paint to a good level to make it nice enough to spray as I have done for a couple of years (and it's been fine in the past!).

Is that for the air or paint - there's one in the middle, and there's one on the outside from the compressor which (I think) directs the paint. Thanks!

Check there isn't water in the airline. Its been really humid and I've been having problems with my airtools getting wet because of condensation overcoming the moisture trap on the airline
Check your moisture trap

Water in airline (no moisture trap or full moisture trap) Paint to thick Obstruction in the gun (take apart remove any rubber parts and then soak all bits except rubber seals etc in thiners, ive used 2k thinners before as it seems to clean better than standard thinners/gun wash) Compressor pressure too low? Leak in pipes, conections or tanks?

Have you had it apart to clean it lately?? its usually not much, either the pin is dirty, nozzle is blocked or for some reason its losing pressure somewhere at some of the joins, make sure its all together tight!!

if its a suction type gun... look for the breather hole for the paint cup. if that's blocked, it might cause troubles.
