	Hi guys, I have an intermitent problem with my truck where it hesitates while going up hills or overtaking. Only way to get it going again is to let off the accelerator and keep it under 50mph. I've changed the fuel filter but because it was originally run using cooking oil/old motor oil, I think it's sludged up the bottom of the tank as it seems to do it after filling up with fuel and when it's in the last 1/4. What is the best way of cleaning the tank out? I don't really want to take it off as parts arn't the easiest to come across at the best of times, so don't want to risk breaking something. Don't think there is a drain plug. It is an 80ltr one that is fixed onto the side of the chassis. Thanks guys

	without taking the tank out ? turn the truck upside down and blow and air line through the fuel lines from the front. serious answer: take the tank out

	If it's sludged up the bottom of the tank it would allways be sucking the sludge up, the fuel pickup pipe is at the bottom of the tank. if anything the cooking oil moves the sludge to the filter, (iut's sticky and cr@p sticks in it and moves up the lines) i'd check the filter again, the first time you use cooking oil the filter can need changing 3 or 4 time depending how dirty the system was to start with? TBH I wouldn't be surprised if an injector wasn't blocked by metal in the old engine oil you used, try some ijector cleaner highly concentrated, full bottle that treats a tankfull in 1/4 of a tank ? what pump is it lucas or bosch? turbo or non turbo there's so many things it could be depending on these facts ?

	Just a thought... Get hold of a good pump and use it to drain the tank (whip the fuel line off and suck it all through). Then a good wash through with a solvent (petrol?) before refilling with dizzle?
