That's a proper cool little conversion. Did the new engine bolt straight up to the old gearbox?

Thats a good idea for an engine swap, are you using solid pulleys and just running it as a nice head?

Thats a good idea for an engine swap, are you using solid pulleys and just running it as a nice head? no I'm going to be using megajolt ignition and using the shift change light as a feed to the vvt solenoid , not the best way but it works. I'm going to be changing the setup when funds allow by using a eaton m45 sucking through 2 bike carbs .

M45 might be a bit on the small side for a 2.0?

Eaton say they are good for up to 3.0 I think but GM fitted a M62 to the Chevrolet Cobalt SS/Saturn Ion which is a 2.0 and makes about 230bhp out of the box. Ex-Cobalt M62's come up on US eBay quite a lot for not much, I have one in the loft which I'm going to put on my 2.2 VX220. Someone is selling a M62 on the VX owners forum at the moment if you’re interested LINKNot as cheap as M45’s are though, so depends what power you’re shooting for, I imagine the smaller blower will still be capable of cheering things up Good luck!

I like it, interested to see how this progresses.
As to using an eaton m45, I'm using one on my 1.9 205 GTi.... adds a fair amount of poke! Gives me about 0.45bar of boost.
I'm also using a Megasquirt.
Mad.

Liking this a lot. I definitely want to drop a Zetec into the Escort, it's a ways off yet though! What sort of power will you get without the supercharger? And what bike carbs are you using?

I love the fact your putting cortina lights in a capri, seeing as so many Mk5's from my childhood had capri lights.
