I have won some wheels on ebay and i need them sent across.
The guy isnt to sure what he has to do, but i need to know of some companys that will collect from germany and then deliver to the uk.
Would be even better if i could arrange collection from his house, to myself saves him doing all the work.

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

It will probably work out much cheaper if the seller arranges the shipping.
Costs from Germany > to > UK are much cheaper than costs from UK > to > germany.
E.g. when I bought the suspension for my car, it cost £15 for them to send it over here. It would have been £70+ going the other way.
So it stands to reason that a UK-based company will charge you an arm and a leg to do a third party collection from Germany.
Have you sorted paying for them as that can be a complete nightmare - most continental sellers do direct bank to bank transfers rather than paypal... something that most banks here won't do.....

Well i tired that fright services, and they were looking at 91 quid as dhl are the only people who could do it for me I don't think i will use them, anyone else know any good companys maybe? No banks will do it, you do iban transfer which takes 3 days to reach them. I'm just gonna send cash, aka euros to him and have the money insuranced done it loads of time and always been ok

I agree with pog on the tnt front.
But just an idea why not try a few multinational removal firms?
I know thelikes of deveroux's (whites removals),robinsons and pickfords do trips to germany all the time.
Part loads can work out cheep if the timing is wright??
Fed-ex are also good ro european shipping.

I used www.parcel2go.co.uk the other week to deliver a set of wheels but just within the UK, not sure if they do international? Fantastic service though within the UK, next day delivery and pretty cheap. There are lots of other 'online couriers' but again, not sure they do international? Whereabouts are the wheels coming from?

I'm sending euros to the guy, i don't want to iban transfer, its to much hassle.
And I'm getting them from hannover, i could just drive there to him, its not that far its 6 hours, once off the euro star, which isnt to bad.
I could just borrow my mums car, which is a adui a4 proper little autoban car 80 mph is 2500 rpm nice and cheap on petrol.

I've had a couple of sets of rims sent from germany via Deutsche Post... superior to the Royal Mail in almost every way, first set cost 35 quid (4x 13"s) and the second 60 euros (4x 7.5x16"s). Both arrived within a week and in good nick.

I have been shipping a lot of things to the UK from germany; i wouldn't recommend the german post... i used GLS , which was cheaper and fast... the german post sent a parcel to Australia instead of Austria, 3 months later the parcel came back, it looked like someone rolled it to Australia...
for the seller GLS is fine, they collect the wheels, so he doesn't have to carry them to a post office or so...
