Hi, I have a coil and dizzy from a Mk2 Fiesta to convert my Valencia engined Mk1 to electronicness. Like this. But I neglected to ask for the plug and wires that go to the connector on the amplifier bit on the side of the distributor. The ideal would be to find a spare wiry bit (if anyone with a spare is reading ) but if I know what the three pins on the connector go to, and in what order, then I will be more than happy. Can anyone advise?

Pin positions and wire colours are in the mk2 Fiesta HBOL, your local library should be able to tent you a copy if all else fails.

Thanks Ian, I managed to find it in a mk3 manual someone had cheekily scanned onto the internet but it doesn't give a definite on pin positions/numbers (numbered 1-2-3 ) and isn't the clearest of diagrams. I'll keep hunting

Would the Escort MkIV HCS engine share any wiring with your dizzy? If so, I'll take a look in my workshop manual .

Was going by Wikipedia's description of the HCS so plenty of room for error ;D I have it figured now. My google-fu is getting stronger I was googling for Intermotor 15020 with various combinations of "diagram", "pinout", "schematic" and it was mostly bringing up ebay links which told which of the many cars it was fitted to, and cross referenced it to Lucas and Bosch part numbers. Googling the Lucas part number (Lucas DAB401) brings up various chinese manufacturers making dodgy copies/ making them under licence and a couple of them had the pins labelled in Chingrish. I then also found a similar manufacturer in germany that had it labelled the same, but clearer. B+ is the positive side of the coil, B- is earth and Input I the negative side of the coil cn.oemol.com/oem/en_oem_detail/42999/DAB401/LUCAS_ignitionModule/controlunit.htmlI can't find the German one now, but the manufacturer is called Hugo.
