I like this. They're not everyone's choice, but I like these with an auto box. This car has a huge spec for an E30 - its first owner was obviously a full-on Yuppie! Leather is really very rare and was shockingly expensive, and not many came with four electric windows either. I love the light wipers too. The first owner put his hand deep into his company's pocket for this one!

Nice looking car mate, Agree about the interior, looks good, Everyone goes on about "Recaro" front seats but I prefer the "comforts" (& that's not only because I've got a mahoosive a*re before someone else says it !!) :-)

Something has been living in the old air filter New wheels sorted thanks to Rob ;D So far the electrical problems all seem to stem from corrosion on the fuses, the computer works, the heater now works, though the motor is still a little ceased and does not work on speed 1 The previous owners solution to stop the wheels rubbing the brakes was to add spacing washers.... this and the fact that the other disc looks like it was attacked by an angle grinder may explain the wheel wobble Now, we have a slight mystery or an inept BMW dealership... the breather pipe on the top of the engine is apparently modified and perplexes the man with the computer. All the parts they have provided so far don't have the pipe on the right off to the brake servo, their suggestion is to cap it.... so answers on a postcard and a tip of my hat to the first person who has any idea what that pipe is

That pipe should run straight to you brake servo so I`m guessing it has something to do with the vacuum needed to operate the brakes. Where does the pipe from the reservior run to? The servo?

That intake boot is correct. Your dealer does not know what hes talking about. Problem is, the parts diagram shows a pictureof the earlier one which may be confusing him,? www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BB22&mospid=47290&btnr=13_0597&hg=13&fg=15There are a few different intake boots, one for L shaped ICVs and like yours with T shaped ICVs. Some have the take off for the servo pipe, others don't. The part number I believe you are looking for is: 13711726205 It's the same version as on my 89 convertible and bespoke to 88 on Autos with T shaped ICV's. Bad news is, the parts system I'm looking at states NLA No longer avalable. So your looking for a good second hand one could be the case.

A tip of my hat to you both. Was under the car yesterday looking for my gearbox plate (can only find ZF GETRIEBE SAARBRUCKEN which is nice but not the code for the oil) and just happened to be able to read the intake boot number, its 1726205. Just had a quick look on ebay and theres one in the states.... cheaper than the dealer too (no suprises there then)

Also headlight wash is SE spec - and most SE have 4 e windows- i think they are standard SE spec (unless you meant 3 series in general where 4 e /windows are rare
