Hi,
Long time lurker, finally took the plunge and registered!
Anyway, just a few questions...
What fuel does this run on? 95/97 or something like V-Power? Is it mapped for a specifice type of fuel?
Also, I seem to remember that these SAAB's had a problem with bulkheads cracking. Any issues with your car?

hi.
it will run on normal fuel. but I havnt for a while now, its been run on v-power only for about 2 months now.
it is safe to run on normall fuel, (due to the boost control valve backing off boost if it detects any knock) but the difference on performance is noticable.
no issues with the bulkhead atall, it passed the MOT last month...... flew through.
I believe this was only at issue with the earlier ones 93-95

Sure here you go, Its generally in very good nick, couple of little scabby bits, nothing serious, al very minor, and theres a scrape on the front bumber, shopping trolly or something, Its got MOT Until March, and Tax till the end of this month, qualifies for classic insurance with HIC costs me £350, I'm 26.    Genuine M3 EVO front bumper and splitter, cost over £300 to buy n get painted  |

sorry mate. i cant take £600.
especially as now she sits on lowering springs all round, 35mm.
i can't budge on price at all really. if i broke her i would get this easily. plus I'm not forced to sell, I'm just bored with the car, so i want something different. hopefully a nice 740 v8 will come up and want swaps lol

like I say, its been lowered, 35mm all round, with lowering springs. ill get some pics up asap.
also if the tax is putting people off, it will be re-taxed at the end of this month. so ready to go.

still here just recieved the ecu back for it aswell, as i sent it away after it got dynoed for a few tweeks. changes made were: richer idle map 2nd gear boost limit raised - comes in at 14psi, and then raises to 18psi gradually, this means a flatter torque curver for 2nd gear. this gets the most out of 2nd gear, whilst hopfully not wheel spinning. touch more boost in 3rd-4th and 5th and a few more degrees on the ignition advance map, went out and tested in all today, and running an absolute dream. should now be good for 260bhp+ especially now the weather is cooler shame i missed santapod today aswell, as i wanted to see what she would get with the freshly tweeked ecu. |
