hi guys
right, time has come to pass this beast over to someone else. if I cant swap/why/purchase the right car then I am happy to keep her.
right its a:
1996 saab ng900, with the bullet proof B204 engine, 2.0 turbo.
255bhp @20psi with 366nm torque, with dyno print -outs
very torquey. 0-60 in about 6 seconds
154000 miles,
MOT - sept 2012
TAX - APR 2012
electric windows, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, trip/mpg computer, central locking.
bad bits
abs light comes on when car goes above 70ish mph. happy around town and as soon as you get her going on a motorway the abs light comes on, still brakes fine and works well. the abs light goes off when the ignition turns off, and doesnt come on again untill you get her back on a motorway.
drivers door lock only unlocks, so you cant lock the doors from the drivers side (via the key). you have to push the lock down lift the handle up and then she locks. the key unlocks both doors though.
there is a number plate bulb out.
there is a fadded bit of paint work (near the petrol flap) it has gone slightly dull/matt, but it does polish up nice...
the rear wash wipe doesnt work, only the rear wiper, maybe blocked jets???
and the ariel has been taken off.
good bits:
41.6 mpg is the max I have had out of her, with a trip from gravesend to reading, never putting the turbo under boost, and never going over 70mph.
returns 35mpg, on a motorway run, 25 round town
recent clutch, may 2011
recent direct ignition cassette april 2011
new front pads last week
since ive owned her 9 months, ive changed the oil + filter every 3000miles, with fully syn oil.
coolant fluid change, last month.
bulletproof engine, if people don't know, these b204 engines found in 90's saabs are capable of 500bhp+ without opening up the engine.
gearbox sound
4 good tyres + 2 spare (if needed)
passed mot last month with one advisory of handbrake not sufficient.
right bare with me modifications:
bailey dump valve
carbon style number plates
fitted wider vauxhall rims with 205 tyres instead of 195's. yokohama a539's on the front, smaller radius 50's instead of 60's (on the rear), to lower the gearing for greater acceleration.
painted red calipers
ported inlet manifold elbow
removed underhood insulation - to help with underbonnet temps
bypassed throttle body coolant lines - to keep inlet temps down
black grill
carbon wrapped rear spoiler
smoked side indicators
red silicone vac hoses
boost gauge + pod
full 3" turbo back JT exhaust - only 5 months old,
stage 3 remap - 265bhp @20psi
t7 APC turbo controll valve
tinted indicator lenses
3" turbo intake piping with high torque clamps
apiro air filter
bar+ plate intercooler rated to 350bhp
2.5" intercooler piping
oil catch can + red silicone hoses
grayston rear spring assistors - stiffens the rear up
uprated rear piggy-back anti roll bar
also comes with a set of tyres, good tread, same size as the rears. you can put them back on if you wish
also comes with a 3" exhaust silenser, that I replaced with a straight bit of pipe to make it louder. but you can put back on if you wish?
a video of the beast accelerating
right now,
price is £800 I'm located in gravesend, kent
I would prefer a swap, etc.
for a v-tec, type R - accord, big v8, or something RWD
try me for anything guys,
thanks for looking.
also I can reply pretty instantly, via my blackberry, so email me if you want an instant response, polarman051189@aol.com
cheers
