I'm part way through building a chassis tilter  Just wondering if others have one how high off the ground is the pivot point? |

Mine has an adjustable pivot height to suit lots of cars.

Thats what I thought but was just checking before I weld it together, hopefully at the weekend.

it has to be higher than just half the width, it also has to be more than half the distance from the pivot point to the roof gutter, and the arc that that runs through |

Mine can go from 25cm right up to 2100cm. If I use longer poles it would go higher, Originally it used holes in the tube but now it can be clamped anywhere along the pole. I've also added gussets to the join at the base.   |
