Any diesel gurus out there?
As far as I'm concerned it's Satans own fuel, but my 2000 Kangoo 1.9 likes it.
I want to replace the Lucas Epic diesel pump with something more robust, like a Bosch jobbie.
Anyone know if there's one I can get from a scrapper and bolt on?

yes and no. kangoos use a coded pump. youd need to change the pump, ecu, key and transponder all together for another matched set. but afaik, they only came with lucas pumps.

No personal experience, but from what I've read when looking at doing this on a different engine (XUD), you'd need to swap the injectors too.

The only part of the pump that's coded is the circuit that operates the stop solonoid. If you were using a pump with a conventional fuel stop then all you'd need to do is hook it up to an ignition live. In theory it could be done but I think you'll struggle to find a pump and squirters to fit it.
