so a while ago i asked about making a hard top conversion for my mk3 escort cabriolet, although i still like the idea of having a removable hardtop lets face it in this country its a crapish idea! just look at the summer we just had!! well now after having a bit of a think and some beer i have had the idea of cutting the roof of a mk1-2 orion and using this to make a new fixed roof giving me a coupe(sort of!) my question is, A can somone photoshop it and B is it just a naff idea???

Would be cool but would have to be done spot-on as I guess it could ver easily look terribile.

its not quite the image i had! the idea in my head would make it look more like a two seater so the back window would actualy sit further forward. would mean using some of the orion rear quarter wing tops and extending the bootlid making a larger boot to give it more of a coupe look

My gut instinct is that this would be a good thing. In practice, it could be much harder to acheive. However, he who dares quite often wins. No choppery from me I'm afraid, can't seem to find suitable base pictures to use.

Buy a Ford Verona and put a MK3 front on it. Didn't these thing have a wonderfully random 1.8 8v VW engine in them, out of the Golf GTi?
