Does anybody know anywhere that you can still get number plates made up in the old, pre-2001 font? I've tried loads of online show plate type places, but no joy. I managed to find somewhere around 2 years ago and got some made up for an MR2 I had, but I can't remember the details.
And yes, I know they won't be road legal.

Uk sellers wont make them -as DVLA will trace them back to them -then prosecute.
There may be a few foreign companies that are prepared to take the risk....

I think pretty much all of the online suppliers aren't UK based now for that reason. It's just finding one that still has any templates left.

You can still get them in pressed aluminium, in yellow and white, just search for classic plates or aluminium number plates on the nasty 'bay. As for them being illeagal, rubbish!! If your car had them when new then they are legal on it!! I still have old Font plates on my Audi, I think you will find its more like the people that make number plates all swapped to the new type of font when it came out as these are legal on every vehicle : )

I meant not legal to buy, but didn't word it very well I want acrylic ones really, and an oversize one at the rear (it's for an AE82 Corolla Twincam) I shall try Craig's plates, the name rings a bell, so maybe that's where I got them last time.

As for them being illeagal, rubbish!! If your car had them when new then they are legal on it!! I'm pretty sure that's not right. If they were on there from new and stay on, then it's legal. If it was replaced AFTER 2001, then it should comply with current rules (with the exception of pre 73 black and silver and pre *slightly earlier year that I've forgotten* black and white). Of course, who's ever going to be able to prove that you've changed your numberplates, and when it was done? You'll never get pulled up on it, but not technically legal

Looks good.
Does he just do Ford dealer logos (as that's all that's on the site) or can he do any?

As far as I'm aware he'll do any, your best popping him a email to check.
