liking the look of this, I'm assuming that the lump isnt sitting to high for the bonnet to close.
BTW i am suffering with the green monster a little!!...all your pannels don't have little brown holes in them good news for you, not so good for me lol

at the highest point of the engine there is about 50m gap before it hits the bonnet, so loads of room, lol, just been looking into what I'm going to do to the engine and should be about 330bhp, so should be very lively ;D

lovin this build.you did the right thing in getting the best base possible. There are thousands of rare beasts chopped, channelled and tubbed in the states and no one bats an eyelid, they just appreciate it as an awesome car, which the way this is going, will be the same.who's to say that this one won't last as long,or even longer than if it had been mothballed? We've all seen the shitters sitting on peoples drives, that the owner says isn't for sale,as he's going to restore it one day next thing you know,it's a pile of scrap, only good for spares.Good on you fella.

That looks excellent. Nice to see engine mount brackets that don't look like they will fall off within 20 miles ;D

As Alex asks, how nicely does the box fit in? And what are you plans for suspension/hubs/axle/brakes?

gearbox has loads of room but the gearstick is about where the hand brake is, so I'm making a remote gear linkage so it will come through the original hole, I'm using a Mk1 escort quick rack as its not as big as the viva one so means i can move the engine and gearbox back about another 50m. as for the rear axle it will be a shortened down 6 linked Capri axle with disc brakes, the front will have alloy convertion hubs so i can run ford wheels all round with princess 4pots up front.
