	hi all I'm new to diesel and also to my B3 1.6td wagon, just wondered what the rules are for the choke style pull out on the dash board. only just found it but could have done with it this afternoon the car seams a little low on tick over and if you are not accelerating and turning the wheel it will make it stall so i assume this pull out will help but not sure what the issue is. do i need to use this for so long? it only started hapening after driving the car for about 20 - 30 mins. or is it a idle i need to adjust instead?

	only for very cold starting, i never every used mine on any td ive had never needed to either.

	As it`s a diesel, is that not just a hand control for the accelerator? Would help in the mornings for keeping the idle speed up though. I may be talking rubbish as I am not completely au fait with diesels.
