So i got my upper wishbone out with no trouble at all.. This is when i notice my upper ball bearing is pressed in, and the cheap crappy ebay reasonably priced replacement part comes with a locking ring. Otherwise, its the same dimensions. So, does anyone know any reason why i shouldnt use the Ebay one? Just a bit skittish... And does anyone have any good tricks to getting the old bearing out? That doesnt involve killing the wishbone, hehe... Putting the old one back in is not an option. I like living

Have you cleaned the old balljoint to see if that's got a locking ring. could be rusted in and looks like the shoulder of it? If not then find the shoulder on the old balljoint then find a deep socket that will fit on the out side of this. using another socket on the inner shoulder hammer the balljoint through. Refitting is the reverse and the locking ring is there for extra security.

yeah, i got the old one out with some hammering I suspect the new one will be annoying to get back in though.. Think i`ll put it in the freezer for a while before i try, and heat up the wishbone some Thanks for the answer!

Cars newer than 1990 is satans own work, and one shall never again come into ownership in this household, I tell you this!!! F-ING THING! What is WRONG with just fitting the bearing with 2 bolts like on SENSIBLE BLOODY CARS!!! Noooo, we have to make it impossible to fit oooh, so people have to pay out the ass to get it fitted at a workshop >_<

Its a bit annoying, when EVERYTHING goes to hell trying to fix things on a newer car, all bolts are STUCK and rusted, and stuff seems to be generally of low quality.. When just 2 days ago, I was with a bunch of people stripping down a 20`s ford, NOTHING was stuck, NOTHING was all cramped up and badly planned, and so on! This is a car that has been standing behind a barn for 30 years! I mean, even my 1970 Rekord Caravan that has been sat in a field since 1994 is a joy to work on compared to this DAMNED Honda!!
