After seeing Diffs red Caddyvan down Southend last night I need to lower mine asap! Does anyone have any experience of airbags or hydraulics, just fancied looking into these before going the Golf coilover/axle flip route. Cheers Dave (waiting for 3-spokes to come back into fashion!)

It`ll never happen 3-spokes that is Wont you need some way of locating the Axle if you go airbags ? Its Leaf springs at the moment is it not ? Ladder bars would be easy enough to do You could make the spring perches to take Bags then ;D

I'm currently "Bagging" the Sapporo and I had all the gear in the boot last night, Doh!, It's a lot of work but reasonably straight forward, with the right bits. but not cheap! I've been hoping to have it done by now but it's too hot to be ffffing about under the car ;D
Watch for a "how to" thread coming to a computer near you soon soonish sometime.

If you bag it you still need to lower it so flip the axle , make new perches that are an inch bigger then mount the bag between the chassis rail and axle ,this will just push suspension back up when you need it . Bagging the front is a bit more involved but rayvern hydraulics do a bag for mcpherson struts but i would still use the coilover to lower it. Just lose the 3 spokes.
