Ayup peeps. Well, I'm picking up a new car tommorow and I'm rather excited! ;D so I thought I'd have a bit of fun and do a quiz too see if you can guess what said car is. Here's come clues, Clue #1- the marque was announced by Walter Chrysler in 1928 and production ceased in 1960. Clue #2- the marque was named after a 16th century Spaniard explorer who discovered the Mississippi river. Clue #3- In 1933, the marque recruited another race car driver for an astounding publicity stunt. Harry Hartz drove one of their cars backwards across the country (USA). Hartz peered his way across the continent through a rear window turned windshield. Clue #4- 1000 Internet points to anyone who gets it

Thanks for the love I've gotta say, I'm absolutely stoked! Seriously in debt now but stoked ;D I've been grinning like a fat kid in a sweet shop all week! To be honest I'd never even seen a Desoto before, knew the name but wouldn't have been able to identify one without the badges. First jobs will be to fit higher profile tires with WIDE white walls, lower a bit more too get some tuck and get one of the grille "teeth" gold plated Anyway, It's a '51 with a 3.9 straight 6 flathead with a fluid drive semi auto/semi manual column shift with a clutch pedel, which should be...erm...interesting on the drive home More pics when I've emptied my bank account and stopped driving it long enough to take some pics Coop Edited due to absolutely awful grammar.
