:-/basically i need to know the best way to remove the shocks they are bush to eye type and i want to know what is best to use as you gotta clamp the top with somethins?! and then undo the nut with a ratchet or spanner but what do i clamp the top with?
hope you can help as i am a newbie to this all

It depends on the type of shock, some have an allen key fittiing in the head, others have a flat for a small spanner. Mole grips are a good standby (because there is a good chance it will round off) and in extreme cases you can clamp to the damper rod to stop it turning. This may leave a mark, so do it as high up as possible unless the shock is being replaced.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

An impact gun can also work, although I did once unscrew the damper shaft from the piston inside the shock absorber on a Skoda shock.
