Nothing too serious. My battery has decided not to hold a charge and Halfords are refusing to swap it under warranty. It's annoying because it means I might have to take my jump-pack with me. I'm currently giving it multiple trickle charges in the hope that it might kick some life into it. What size is it? I have loads of spare batteries, and planned to bring on with me anyway. I can bring another for you... I drive the most reliable of cars - an old BMW. Therefore I do not, and will not, have any problems. The only issue I have is deciding which wheels to run.

took my bonnet scoop off to sort out the cracks and sunken filler, now it's 10 times worse, I'll have another go at it at the camp site on saturday.

I'm always going on about how reliable and cheap to fix my polo is. Well I turned the key and the little red lights didn't even come on. Very dead. It's already got a nice new battery so... out with the old in with the new (read expensive) I thought an alternator would be £20 off ebay but I couldn't find the right one and ended up dropping 100 bleddy quids on a brand new one. It seems these old bits are not as plentiful as they once were oh well, needs must, nothing is stopping me from getting to prescott on time ;D

OK - Trump now has bonnet, fluids and starts/stops.... can't find new indicator housing and lense (old one a bit knackered) and paint still looks curse word - but, a couple of things to do before I head off in the middle of the night. trailer found locally and hired (cost for RR just went through the roof! ) You lot BETTER make it worth it

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH went to go and tax the Polo only to find I need the V5 and can't use the last SORN letter. Unfortunately I've moved 3 times since i got the Polo and can I find it??? Can it heck So I've got to either go to DVLA office OR find a friendly Post Office that will do it all manually for me. Such a ballache might be there in the Octavia at this rate

***Phew*** Massive sigh of relief, after some to-ing and fro-ing I managed to get it taxed Had to shoot up to my nearest DVLA office (thankfully Sidcup, about 1 minutes drive away ;D ) Then had to fill out some forms and be relieved of £90 quid for tax and for a new V5. He had a look at my insurance certificate (that clearly says this certificate cannot be used for taxing purposes!) and give it the all clear (nothing to do with the fact it was folded along that sentence and the bit he needed to read about dates was at the top of the page!) and now the car is taxed and insured DVLA office were really helpful a reinforcing the stereotype that if you speak to them face to face they are helpful as oppose to speaking on the phone to them Game on for RRG11........
