Thought i better start a thread for this now, ive had this for a few months now, i bought it for £180 as a non runner, towed it home, after fitting a hand primer to pull the diesel up she fired up straight away.Result.
Put her through an MOT and she failed on 2 wiper blades, few bulbs, rear brakes needed cleaning as low effort. Sorted them bits and she went through. The day after, the alternator went. So £40 for 2nd hand one and shes a beauty now. Not bad for a motor thats sat over 2 years.
She is currently in varying shades of blue and the previous owner started sanding down the paintwork. I have now started to paint her satin black, and am going for the rat rod look. I'm not a fan of shiny paint on my own cars...
The interior was ok, but it had a sink fitted from someones house and was WAY too big. Ive ripped it out and have bought a cooker, fridge and sink unit from a mates camper.
Its got hookup on the back for 240v, and has a few plug sockets inside.
Engine is standard 1600 diesel, recently serviced, but with backbox removed. Mega loud, but is actually better on fuel!
I'm fitting whitewalls all round, with smaller ones on the front, with extra rake for that hot rod look.
Anyway enough talking, here are some pics of my work in progress as she is my daily driver!
Started to paint one side satin black..
Heres the whitewalls ive got for the rear, not fitted yet..
More updated pics to follow as i have made more progress.
