Anyone know of a uk supplier? I'm thinking of going to 7or8x13" wheels on the back of the standard and 6 on the front, however I won't be able to have them banded unless I get the centres moved or a bit added to the front and back. Only ones I can get at the moment are 15" in widths from 8-14" for £45-£75. Some off road places in the US do them so i know they exist over the pond. If I could get some shells I could just tack them where I want and get them welded in fully by a pro. Have a picture:

The issue is with the steering arm on the front as rear axle will be getting chopped to fit the car and offset anyway. As an alternative, I could keep these and run 15"s 6 wide on the front 8 wide on the rear (2 inch band to outer edge). thoughts please

don't know anyone that sells just the rims over here at all?
maybe just get some wide steels that a re the right size and rit your wheel centres into them?? something like a 80's fast ford or vauxhall would probably have 7x13" steels i would guess..... or wellers?

hmm, I'm liking the look of that 15 in the front arch ;D with just the right profile tyre to give it a square looking sidewall ive heard that in Australia you can buy the outer sections to get bigger diameter and wider steels with your original centres, as banding is illegal out there

Theres a lot of places that sell them abroad, I can get 15" in 8-14" wide over here from speedway motors for a decent enough price.
The other issue I didn't think about is that not all wheel shells are made the same, so there is some variation in the size of wheel centres. it looks like i'll keep the 15"'s and get the rears banded 2" when i can afford it.

Hello did you get something sorted ,iam trying something similar and having the same problems using mondeo 15x6 with 4x108 pcd , i reversed the centers so i wouldn t have to use a 25mm spacer on the front (its mk1 cortina) but then its very very close to rubbing onto the wing once tyres fitted. Theres not enough width to the raised section on the rim (inner diameter) to weld back the center onto and get the offset i am looking for---its pushed to the very edge now and idealy i would want to try for some more offset towards the strut. As i now have 25mm clearence there. No issues on the rear and i want to split two rims then weld up back to back to make a 15x9 rim on the back. cheers

if the only trouble at the front rubbing the wing (presuming you mean the wheelarch section), can you not just give the wings a gentle tug out a bit for clearance?

The wheel shells in first post are about £45 for a 8", maximum back space on a 8" rim is 6" (based on a flat centre) I don't know if 2" from hub would be better than what your currently at? Alternatively its finding some wheels with centres like these: On those the mounting face is 15mm forward of the welded flange, also the flage sticks out 5mm front the center of rim, which could possibly give you more movement, however they look a bit pants as the centre sticks out past the rim a fair bit. You do get an et of 49 on a 5 1/2" rim though I've solved my issues by running the 15's Got a manta axle and front hubs to collect then i'll fit the hubs on with either suitable bearings or make another pair of stubs to do the job. Other option is as mk2cossie suggests
