I've just had a phone call from a farmer where I keep some of my things, apparently someone broke into one of the barns last night and had a set of wheels of mine.
6j detailed Fuchs
Thing is, I rekon I know who it was, cos they'd asked about them recently when having some "bits" off me, and that's ALL that was stolen.
Farmer rekons they were oppurtunists who saw the centercaps and had em away.
If anyone in the midlands gets offered a cheap set, faded but detailed with DUNLOP tyres that need replacing, let me know

FFS! Indeed, saddens me cos its someone who knows what they are, the barn is full of expensive bits, these are well hidden and I've been "sat" on em for a fair while, keeping them quiet, and offering them to a few select people who a) I knew could afford them (THEY ARE EXPENSIVE WHEELS!) and b) Who I knew were IN the scene. I think I had a sure sale on them too, now I'm just ferked really, lost my initial investment, and lost the profit I'd have made It's also the SECOND set I've been screwed on.

Not what you need. Bad luck cappuccino. Maybe to keep this one in peoples minds it might be worth posting this in the stolen thread? If you know who it is, maybe it might be worth looking at some counter active action.....

If you know who it is, maybe it might be worth looking at some counter active action..... I'm a firm believer in karma, I can't act without proof, and the Police aren't really interested , I've called them and they've given me an incident number. He lives fairly locally (if it IS him), and I've a few "mates" that way that have said they'll do some scouting for me, suffice to say, what I won't do, they probably will I'm waiting for HoTWire to confirm stolen parts are OK in there too, then I'll start a thread about it...... Determined that this WON'T ruin my day....

Run a wheels and tyres bus in the mids so will post if i hear anything. Check e bay for any set suddenly appearing in your area, worth going for a quick look then.
Best of luck, feel for you.

Not the exact ones, mine had more grey and less silver, and the powdercoat black had seen better days, but wasn't too bad. Also had some rather manky, cracked green dunlops on them.

That's a F*****.
I seem to remember your storage was pretty secure?
Certainly not the first thing a load of traveller types would have picked to take, from what I saw?
Will post something on a Nottingham based VW forum in a few moments...

That's a real shame, sorry to hear it.
I get a bad feeling in my gut when people mess with my stuff, I can deal with the lose itself, it's just the fact you've been screwed over by somebody. They just didn't consider you at all, that's what hurts me.
