Imp and Minor are good suggestions, for some reason I didn't think of those until this thread! I think 'bubble' shaped cars are going to win her over TBH, but you never know, i'll show her this thread and see what she thinks!

What about a Honda Beat or a Suzuki Cappucino or maybe a Nissan Cube (one of my neighbours has one of those and its way cool!) Or a Toyota Starlet GT Turbo I think that the Japs have the monopoly on cute cars Or how about a totally standard (white) Nova GTE or an Audi A2In my opinion the ultimate cute car would be one of these ;D

*Gasp!* 1303 Beetle. Prices are lower than before, and although the 1303 may be frowned upon in certain echelons of the Vee-Dub circles, it most definitely is cute. Or could be. could be classed as cute, my wife thinks so And on a Fiat 500 cute theme

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Morris Minors, Beetles, Bays and Minis have their "cute" factor tripled with those headlamp eyebrow thingies...

Actually a Datsun 100A isn't a bad idea. Cute, cheap to buy and dead reliable. Easy to slip in a bigger engine too ;D Prices for them are on the up at present with minterg going for over a grand but you can still get a smart one for £500. Two doors are most common followed by four doors but estates and coupes are super rare. My other top choice would be a Mk1 Civic... Mazda 1000/1300's are pretty cute too but you'd have a job finding one... You can stull get hold of Honda N600's occasionally. They are not mega money and are a hoot to drive. Parts aren't too bad to get either.

Agreed Ed.
A GenI Civ would be on my list too, or N360, Z, S800.
If we're going for other un-reachables a Mazda Carol or Mazda Cosmo 110S.
Datsun Cherry or Sunny or early pre-510 Bluebird (310 specifically)

Yeah, the Fiat 850 Coupe, good call.
I was going to buy three of those to make one good one for my sister... didn't in the end, for no real reason.

My girlfriend regularly has "I want a Fiat 850" period when I'm forced to scour eBay for likely cadidates. She does the same with Renault 4's Imps and Fiat X19's too. One day I'll end up giving in and buying her something but up till now I've not seen the right car at the right price. I'd love to get her an 850 one day but it'd have to be a decent one and not a coupe...she's not so keen on them.
