Haven't got this little beast on the road yet (still waiting for Ebay-sourced radiator to turn up )... But unusually for me my attention has turned to appearances - usually I just tinker with 'performance' mods and let the bodywork do it's own thing... Can't decide what to do this time. Just replacing the side strips would be easiest, but the coupe bumper does look better... but I would have to paint on a black strip to match the side ones (if I was to keep them). Losing the side rubbing strips means a bit of work prepping/repairing the areas where they were, and then I would have to paint out the matching strip on the rear bumper... Go on, what does anybody reckon? (Excuse slightly crude 'chop, inc coupe bumper, which might not be shown deep enough - was done from memory) Cheers, Phil

I'll be honest here.
I had to go through the pics a few times before seeing any difference, maybe that's me.
I like the standard look best myself.

I'm with MWF on this one, not sure what vote that is though ;D
I reckon it's a good looking car as standard, although maybe a plain grille would be on my list, but that's my adversion to badges shining through...

If you want stock cars don your flat cap and head to practical classics ... right now... I say smooth it to within an inch of its life...

I think it looks too bulbous without the black to break the sides up. Stock for me I'm afraid.

Some cars just look good 'from the box' apart from rally trim, I don't believe that I have seen a decent modded 205, for example. The only other thing to do with a large white saloon, is to stick it on black steels and paint a large flourescent stripe down the side and 'copperfye' it! BB PS Practical classics has been banned from my reading material until I hear that they have bothered their to make a stand against whoever stole their Granny. PPS Can't spell, won't spell

Coupe Bumper No side rubbing strips Painted Mirrors Painted door locks/handles All white Paint in Rear Bumper to match Well thats what I had planned for it Coupe Bumper is much nicer and more aggressive, its lower especially in the corners with a pronounced lip at the bottom If you wanted to go really smooth then Audi 80 lights and Clear indicators (All in the grill line) and fill in the current Indicator/Fog light apetures Lower the Car more FTW... lots of Speed bumps round here and the Alpine roads were not exactly conducive to "Snakes belly" stance either.... hence stiffer but not that lower ;D I have got a set of Mirrors rubbed down at home for that ...... I was going to stick them on the Bay at the weekend I`ll post some pics up later of an All white one ;D looks much nicer I did also seriously consider "Checking" the roof as well, or Going Black with the Pillars and roof Not that I spent a long time thinking about it or Anything ;D

Oh don't start, this was meant to be a quick fix to get me a daily driver! Won't be lowered - one of the big attractions of the car was the 4WD and decent ground clearance suitable for my job. BTW the sills have to stay black - it helps disguise the great big dents somebody made in them going off-roading ;D Did consider the Polizei look - they used 80s & 90s...
