It's incredible the price some of these toys go for, I've seen redlines in the USA sell for the sort of money that you could buy an actual car that you can drive. I felt ashamed when i splashed out £17 on this for Mrs pistonpopper last week... I've bought her one every year for her birthday since we've been together, the way the prices are going on these Johnny Lightning holiday classics I might have to think about just cutting my losses next year and getting a new wife!

I actually took it from his trolley as he had six or seven others in ther along with about 50 other cars including every landspeeder Tesco had on the shelves. It's no wonder I can never find anything cool in my local Tesco. Did you distract him by pointing at something behind him first?! If a full fisticuffs had broken out between two adults over some nice toy cars you’d have made the local papers and online click baiters I reckon

Just out of curiosity... Am I missing something here? It's been on fleabay since the Summer and oddly enough it hasn't managed to find a buyer yet. It's fleabay item number:324392154453 should you feel the need to own it yourself. Trying their luck or possibly self price inflation hoping that someone desperately decides they need one, never works if there’s another one for sale. The “original condition” is slightly pushing it, unrestored is one thing but original as in uniquely mashed up by a child rather than factory condition is a new way to say original.

Just been to Tesco. No Hotwheels, just a green wheeled thing. A handful of matchbox, including 3 of these So I bought 3 of these. Not sure why, but I do have some freshandminty-esque wheels that might find their way onto one of them. If you can get the front end looking more retro and paint it brown and fit similar wheels to mine I’d happily buy it off you to cover part costs / time .

I've got a few oddities/rarities, including one of these Lone Star Flyer Firenzas. Apparently they were the only company to make a model of the '71 car, in agreement with Vauxhall. The Budget ones were a limited run, given to rental car customers. The last one I saw online sold for £275.

I have Dinky Toys Triumph 2000 in Black with a light green roof which (so I’ve been told!!) were only given to people when they’d purchased a Triumph 2000 when they were launched... They were made in factory colours... I’ve no idea how much they are worth (mine has certainly been played with) but I’ve never seen another!!

I was bloomin' ages in the toy shop this morning, just couldn't seem to find the casting I was after... Plus, I thought it would've been rude to just push in.

Found two of these THs in the same shop today ... ... bought one, left the other for someone else. Not the sort of thing I normally buy but hey, it's a TH. I managed to bend the card before I left the shop, donut.

Got bored one lunchtime last week and got the Sambar and a school ruler out and TinkerCAD on the PC. No idea about making hte thing real though.

(added to 20 or so matchboxes already indoors as well ) these were the ones rejected from that pile (either duplicated or in the case of the Golf and Landy, already in the spreadsheet in several different colours including those colours )

Is that a late 90s prelude I spy?

I've been trying to locate one of those Nissan Navara pick ups for myself. I really believed they weren't available in the UK. Even when I've stumbled upon new boxes in the supermarket they never seem to contain this toy... On with the search!
