Hows best to sell boxed Hotwheels guys? I have at least 200, I'm not selling one by one but I cant see someone buying the pot for a few they want. I'm seriously considering selling mine, they're just stuck in a box in the spare room when I could have some more car funds now. Ive not tried selling them myself, but id imagine in 200 or so cars, there are bound to be some in there that are of higher value than most to collectors. Mabie split them into age related lots, or all fords etc, 5 cars to a lot. Without knowing whats there its hard to say. Would you sell them on here or ebay? Plenty of traders out there who will take a collection off your hands, best and quickest way would be try one of the larger hw facebook selling pages. again price dependent but common mainlines you be hard to get a quid back for them as as that what poundland had them for, I usually do my sales in groups of 5 for £5.99. Common themes, muscle cars, sport cars, trucks etc....same proce to post 5 as one car.

Ive never seen those wheels. I am now aware of those wheels and will be hunting them down. The car itself looks abit like one of the early Hotwheels, cant think what its called. I know what you mean, I reckon those wheels are pretty cool, I looked at all the other cars in the box and only the Tony's car, erm, car had them. I bought all three cars the shop had. The car it's self remnds me of this one Dixie Challenger, or Rodger Dodger depending on whether or not the engine is hanging out of the bonnet.

Probably see if you guys want any first then ebay the rest. Good idea doing it by make, hadn't thought of that. Gonna go through them tomoro after work I think. Yeah the Mrs is trying to get me to sell a load as well, although i have nearly 1000 so not entirely unreasonable I am still looking for a few 2016 ones to complete my collection for that year (the only year i have attempted to collect all 250!), in short card

Whilst out shopping I looked in 3 separate locations to see what I could find. First shop, pegs very well stocked, all mainlines fantasy stuff. Second shop, same again, third shop, mainlines and themed stuff, this time it was fantasy stuff and moderns except for one car I bought which to be fair made all the messing about worth it. Fair to say that someone must be clearing the stock. All 3 shops are very close to each other and all 3 were very well stocked with nothing of interest. Pah.

I'm currently trying to turn one of those Hudson Hornets into a sort of forgotton resto for my eldest daughter, she gave me some rust effects paint for Fathers day so I thought I'd give them a go for her. So far I've only scuffed up the decals, painted individual panels, and given it a coat of Nuln Oil, gonna try the rust paints soon... It's a lot easier to make the car look good and shiny than rough and abandonned!

I got a big bag of cars at the car boot sale this morning... Having lost my 'General Mayhem' model I did I was only after the one that looks like the 'General Lee' (in the middle just above the ambulance) I thought this was an ERTL 'General Lee' which is what I based my 'General Mayhem' on it isn't, anyway the guy wanted £1 for it, so I pulled out a tenner, and he said I could have the lot for that. Which I did, then I had to lug it home in my back pack on my bike! No easy task as I weighed it when I got home and it weighed just over 12kgs! Anyway, incase you didn't see it before, this is what I started out wanting to make... Again. The General Mayhem! Which started off life as... An ERTL toy car. Anyway, what I thought was another ERTL toy car isn't, it's something far cheaper and nastier. But it looks like someone's had their Mums nail varnish out and tried to make it into a 'General Lee' at some point, and so this is what it actually turned out to be... Which is pretty rough, but I still think is kinda cool. So now I have a bit of a dilemma, I'm going to pull it apart anyway as I want to get all that sharpie off the windows if I can, and although not a General Lee, it does look to have been orange originally. But I can't decide what to do, do I pull it apart to make my General Mayhen replica as planned, or clean it all up and make a General Lee replica, or clean it all up and make a General Lee replica that looks like it's been in a few episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard as that was obviously the route that it's original owner was going. Lastly, can anyone tell me what HotWheels castings had the real rider tyres on the wheels that look like the Turbovec wheels used on the original General Lee? Because I think no matter which route I go down I want to put those wheels on it.

pistonpopper I had a Yatming General Lee Charger rip-off so not sure if that’s what this is, regarding the wheels some sort of Corvette springs to mind. Heroic cycling btw 😂

Nope. 6-9 quid I reckon. Try joining a few local HW facebook groups and find a loose of one with a damaged card?

The new mk1 casting is really nice. I can't wait for it to come out in a better colour. Lhasa green or mars red with the lower door stripe would be perfect!

I won one of these little cuties as part of swag for winning an award at yakushi show recently...
I usually prefer the more realistic hotwheels but I really like how this is a "cartooned" version of a customised car rather than a complete fantasy model.
