Thank you! So it´s only the nine cars listed, both in black and white. Makes 18 cars for the series, but 32 for the chess game. Hm, will I look for 8+8 beetles now or take two of each in both colors?  You have to assume and hope they will actually complete the set. Surely they would not stop at now. They kind of HAVE to do the rest in both colours??   |

I've been experimenting with a diorama background using some OO card models I found (they were a freebie from Railway modeller years ago). OO is 1:76 as opposed to 1:64 so about a 15% difference. These are early phone test shots.   Think I may be looking at the Oxford Diecast 1:76 range... (the buildings are Swindon railway Village). |

Brilliant find. The scale doesnt look too different, I have found a chap on ebay australia who does some good stuff out of foam board. I'm buying two sets month end, will let you know how it goes.

I'm slowly rediscovering my childhood collection as it makes its way out of the loft and into my son's possession. One that stood out from the last batch was this... It's a 1984 Hot Wheels with a spring loaded front end that flips over when it hits something to make it look like its crashed:   Just thought it was pretty cool. Anyone know of any more like this? I have a police car version where the side doors are spring loaded, I’ll get pictures! |

As a follow-on to my OO diorama I bought a Range Rover (OK only a 1:76 scale one).  There is obviously a big difference in scale, although the O gauge wall still seems to work quite well. The Range Rover is an Oxford Die-Cast model, superb detail for the size and price ~£5. I might just have ordered some more... and I've got a catalogue oh dear what a lot of choice, they do some nice 1:43 scale models as well.
Perhaps we need a thread for 1:76/OO models

I have 3 Oxford models in this size.
Best one is a beavertail Mk1 Transit recovery truck.
They really are nice!

Ive got afew oxford 1/76 models. They are really nice and don't take up alot of room at all. I also have a 1/130 mini, that takes up even less room!

Here you go. Enjoy the hunt! It´s not as difficult as I thought. Since german Aldi offers HotWheels, I now have the black half almost complete. Only a second black Fast 4WD missing, but then I already have enough black beetles to make an only black beetle pawn set. Now I have to wait for Audacious, Cloak&Dagger, Fandango, King Cuda and that beetle to be released in white. Haven´t seen any of them so far. |

That m2 is really nice, I'm not too mad on coca cola branded stuff but the colours on that look great. Nice find, keep it safe.

There is a Taxi also which is the same casting as the Police Car And a green version of your red one And a black (IIRC) car that had the back end flip round |

So, this morning I went carbooting and amonst other things, bought this and this.  I now have this  I like to call it the 'Grand Rover' It looks to be slightly too short for the chassis, but I have two land rovers, so is it worth faffing about and cutting them up to make it slightly longer. I hate getting these silly ideas, makes it even worse if i name them before ive even started   |
