hi everyone, can anyone help me with some pictures of rear engine conversions, ideally any mk1 fiestas, as that is the project.
any pictures/links to pictures would help enormously

its a mate who needs the pics, as far as i know it will be single engine conversion. to be honest i have no idea where to start looking, we were at bug jam this weekend, and tried to track one down to no avail...

There's that rear-engined supercharged Mk1 isn't there? Not a lot of use, but someone must know where there are decent pics of the setup.

Only problem i can see with doing this is gearbox problems, as the traction limited acceleration point is reaised through increased grip. So blown gearboxes are a real issue, i think that fiasco currently has no gears!

All those are transverse conversions. A good idea when the engine and suspension all sit on a subframe, but not that great for weight distribution / driveshaft lengths etc. I (and friends) put together a '78 Derby with a longitudinal layout, which presents problems of its own, but is conceptually much more mid than rear engined. Handling balance is lovely. Various pics here and the page before... Not an easy thing to photograph really...
