Soooo I bought this thing here. 1983 Skyline R30 Ti. Spotted it sitting on a lawn near where a bunch of us regularly meet up to talk curse word, so I wandered up to the door and asked if they were keen to sell (I was only interested in the wheels).... the girl went inside and had a conference with her partner and yep, I could have it for $100. Sold. So we went and picked it up today, actually much tidier than I initially though, it does have all 4 SSR Bright Speed Racing 14" wheels on it, which I'm so rapt about finding, as they're apparently about as rare as they come, even in Japan. Towed the beast back to my mates farm, behind an early 90's Toyota Corolla 1300.... it did bloody well I thought! We had to tow because the battery was toast, dash lights wouldn't even light up, and it is also deregistered. It's the super-ultra-curse word specced car, so it runs an asthmatic CA18 carby lump, and has the solid rear axle instead of IRS. The engine bay is SUPER clean, I've never seen anything quite like it, I was expecting a mess of wires, grease and spider webs. The interior is awesome 80's maroon velour, with black carpet, headlining and dash. My mate has since bought it off me, so I ended up with a set of mega rare rims for next to nix!!!! Also, I was playing with the KP's suspension, and managed to do this to it.... Enjoy

Looks like a good bit of wheeling and dealing (literally!), are you going to get the KP low enough at the front to match the new rear ride height?

Sadly, no. That shot of the KP is sans springs... after a couple of trips round the block I decided it was errr, curse word, to say the least. It's currently got a set of "low" aftermarket springs in it (where they got the "low" from is anyones guess) with decent shocks and it rides and handles fairly well.
I'll post more pics of it when some certain parts arrive...... hopefully that will be this week.

Top wheel huntage,.. is that NZ$ btw ? Yes sirree, his purchases are in pitiful NZD! $100NZD = roughly £33 Of course, he sold the car to his mate as well, so he paid a lot less than that for the wheels

How many different skyline variations are there? just when I think i've seen them all,up pops another! The answer is lots! Given that they bring out a new one every four years or so, then each version has/had saloon, hardtop, estate, hatchback variants, sometimes with short or long nose depending on engine size, then there's locally-produced variants. Some Skylines pretent not to be Skylines by calling themselves Passage or Pintara which adds to the fun. After donating its wheels is this car going to stay in one piece?

They've been around since the 50's.. so, there's a few!
Up until the R32 (89-92) most variants (though not all!) came in a Coupe, a Sedan and a Wagon.
That one above is the R30, which.. strangely enough also came in a Hatch version.
ALSI, BLRA, S50, S54, C10, C110, C210, R30, R31, R32, R33, R34, G35
Generally with a mix of 4 & 6 cylinder versions.

R30's occaisionally pop up, R31's are still fairly common over here.
The rest... not a hope in hell!!!, Rarer than finding a Hen's tooth without any plaque on it.
